illegal POV

Illegal POV is a video documentary that captures the illegal fishers in Caspian Sea. Later, I followed where the fishes in the local market go to be used and found a kitchen in the same area with a security camera. The CRT tv with its low-quality image in juxtaposition with the high-resolution Full HD video image creates a contrast and disrupts our perception of the video’s narrative. At the same time, not unlike the cycles of food and commodities in the market, the contrasting qualities in the two image denote to the cycle an image goes through, being reused, becomes poor and find multiple significations.
