Pianscape is a video installation that tends to explore the affective and sensory qualities of the visuals in relation to body. While watching the artist’s ‘real’ pain in the video, spectators become aware of their own live image in the CRT television captured by several analog cameras from different angles. The video installation allows one to recall a shared experience (private memory) of pain by exposing them to multiple narrative layers within various screens. The integrating digital and analog qualities in this work tend to engage a sensory bodily reaction in the spectators.
